Our Parent/Teen Communication Workshop is a great bonding experience for parents and their teens.
In our Parent/Teen Communication Workshop, we focus on developing trust and enhancing communication and collaboration skills that help parents and teens create more harmonious relationships. You will experience fun and challenging activities with the horses that require working together as a team to appreciate each others strengths as revealed by a pre-workshop CilftonStrengths assessment.
The debrief sessions after each activity will help you reflect on the experience and develop action plans that will foster respect, acceptance, dependability, and improved communication.
You will leave at the end of the day with a memorable experience and a deepened sense of connection with each other!
Components of the Workshop
Prior to the workshop, each parent and teen receives a copy of the book Strengths-Based Leadership by Tom Rath, with a code for accessing the online strengths assessment.
Day of the Workshop
After a safety demonstration, you will experience a variety of activities with our equine partners that focus on developing trust and enhancing communications skills. We facilitate the debrief of each activity with the goal of helping parents and teens understand and appreciate their strengths, celebrate successes, and develop an action plan for any changes that are needed to create a more harmonious relationship.
